Aspen Instruments LLC ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Information We Collect

When you use Aspen Community, we collect:

  • Email address — used only to send you a sign-in link. We do not send marketing emails unless you opt in.
  • Username (handle) — the public name you choose when creating an account. Attached to any curves you upload.
  • Uploaded content — transfer function curves and any titles, descriptions, or tags you provide.
  • Download counts — how many times your uploads have been downloaded.
  • Installation ID — a random identifier your plugin generates on first launch. Used to link sign-in sessions to a specific installation so re-authorizing replaces the old token instead of stacking stale ones.
  • Device name — your computer's hostname, sent when you authorize a plugin. Shown in your account's device list so you can recognize and revoke authorized devices.

Cookies

When you sign in to Aspen Community, we store a session cookie to keep you logged in for 30 days. This cookie contains only a random token — no personal information. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect solely to operate Aspen Community — to authenticate you, display your public profile and uploads, and let other users download your curves. We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for advertising purposes.

Plugins

Our audio plugins do not transmit audio, project files, or usage telemetry. Processing audio and loading plugins works entirely offline.

Features that connect to Aspen Community — browsing shared curves, uploading your own, or viewing your account from inside the plugin — send your installation ID, your computer's hostname, and (on upload) your handle. These are listed above under "Information We Collect." You can revoke any authorized device at any time from your account page.
